Osteopathy is a holistic manual therapy. Holistic means that the osteopath takes into account the "whole person" and the relationships among the various parts of the body in order to provide the best possible care. The osteopath has a toolbox which encompasses various modalities or ways to work with you. 

As your osteopath, I want to get to know you so I can choose the tools best fitted and most relevant to your particular situation.

During the treatment, I use various techniques to help you. I always prioritise the least invasive techniques that give the greatest benefits.  I work with the following treatment tools:

• Joint articulation and mobilisation 
• Soft tissue massage and stretching 
• Visceral manipulation
• Balanced ligamentous technique
• Myofascial release
• Cranial osteopathy

• Neck pain, headache/migraine, concussion/whiplash, TMJ/ jaw pain 

• Upper back pain, shoulder problem such as rotator cuff injuries and frozen shoulder etc.

• Overuse injuries such as Tennis Elbow or Carpal Tunnel Syndrome etc.

• Lower back pain, pelvis pain, sciatica 

• Hip, knee, ankle, foot pain such as plantar fasciitis or sprains

• Digestive issues such as IBS, constipation, reflux or indigestion 

• Breathing complaints such as asthma

• Sports injuries

• Pregnancy related complaints, pre- and post- natal care, gynaecological issues

• Babies: breastfeeding, difficulty latching, head movement favouring, head molding, reflux, colic, constipation, difficulty sleeping or settling

• Children and teenagers; growing pain, recurrent ear infection etc. 

• Each consultation starts with a conversation. I do a thorough case history, which covers your past medical history and injuries. We discuss your lifestyle and your current state of health. I ask details about your complaint. All information is strictly confidential and helps me to better understand how to  assist you to get the best outcome. 

• During the examination, I observe, palpate, move, and test your body to gather information. This process leads me to understand the cause of your complaint.

• Based on my findings, I conduct a personalised treatment. I use various manual techniques to address the source of your pain and decrease your symptoms. 

• At the end of the consultation, we discuss a management plan with regards to your complaint.

Depending on your presentation, you may be referred for further investigations such as Xray,  ultrasound, or an appointment with another health practitioners. 

 At all times, I welcome any questions to enhance your understanding of the consultation and help us work together better.

It is best to wear clothes, which allow you to move freely. If you need to change into less restrictive clothing, you will have time and privacy to do so.

Sometimes clothes need to be removed to work on a particular area of the body. I use towels to respect patients' modesty. I work with you to ensure that you are comfortable at all times.
